Pork meat is a great source of protein, easily digested and contains all nine essential amino acids necessary for body growth and maintenance. It is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, including:
Selenium, Zinc, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Niacin, Phosphorus, Iron, taurine, Vitamins including A, C, E, Thiamine, Folate, Choline, Betaine and Minerals Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Sodium.
Pork meat is actually classified as a red meat because it is a livestock meat, even though it seems to be called “the other white meat”. The reason it is called white meat is that it contains less myoglobin (oxygen carrying protein) than beef but contains more myoglobin than fish or chicken and goes white when cooked.
Pork is a fantastic alternative for dogs that may have allergies to other protein sources.
Can be stored in the refrigerator thawed for up to 2 days.
